The raw material for PP strapping is polypropylene particles, which are divided into three categories according to the formula, with costs ranging from high to low: new materials>semi recycled materials>fully recycled waste.

1.Brand new pure PP material (transparent/transparent white strapping band)

>Raw materials: New brushed grade polypropylene particles, no recycled waste, can add a small amount of toughening masterbatch.

Advantages: High tensile strength, good toughness, not easily brittle, strong hot melt bonding, no impurities, suitable for food, foreign trade, and long-distance transportation.

Cost: The market price of new particles is much higher than that of recycled materials, and under the same specifications, the price is the most expensive.

Additional cost: anti-aging masterbatch is added to some high-end models, which is not easy to be weathered when used outdoors, and the price rises again.

2.Semi new material (mixture, gray white/light gray band)

Formula: Mix 30% to 60% new material with clean PP recycled crushed material.

Performance: Moderate tensile strength, average toughness, prone to cracking in low temperature environments, average strength of hot melt interface.

Price: 20% to 40% cheaper than brand new materials, ordinary cardboard boxes are most commonly used for domestic sales in factories.

3. Fully recycled waste (mainly black strapping)

Raw materials: waste plastics, woven bags, old packaging belts, crushed and granulated, with many impurities, adding a large amount of calcium powder to reduce costs.

Defects: Brittle, poor tensile strength, prone to breakage in winter, poor heat fusion effect, mostly only able to be manually packaged with iron buckles.

Price: The lowest price in the market, mostly used for bundling bricks, stones, and short distance building materials.
