Storage Environment for PE Stretch Film

The storage environment of PE (polyethylene) stretch film significantly impacts its performance and service life. Proper storage conditions can minimize material aging and damage, ensuring the effectiveness of the stretch film in practical applications.

1.Temperature

(1)Suitable temperature: PE stretch film is generally suitable for storage at room temperature (15 ° C to 25 ° C). Avoid storing in high temperature (over 30 ° C) environments, as high temperatures may cause a decrease in the physical properties of the membrane, affecting its stretchability and strength.

(2)Prevent extreme temperatures: Avoid storing in environments below 0 ° C or above 50 ° C to prevent materials from becoming brittle or soft.

2.Humidity

(1)Relative humidity: The ideal storage relative humidity is between 40% and 60%. Excessive humidity may cause the membrane to become damp, affecting its physical properties; However, low humidity may cause the membrane to become fragile.

(2)Dry environment: Placing stretch film in a dry and ventilated place can help extend its service life.

3.Illumination

(1)Avoid direct sunlight: PE stretch film should be stored in a dark environment to prevent direct exposure to sunlight. Ultraviolet radiation accelerates the aging of the film, causing it to become brittle and lose its elasticity.

(2)Use shading materials: If possible, use a mask or box to cover the stretch film and avoid light exposure.

4.Storage method

(1)Vertical storage: PE stretch film should usually be stored vertically to prevent folding and deformation. When stacking, ensure that the film roll is not subjected to excessive pressure to avoid damage.

(2)Avoid sharp objects: The storage area should be clean and dry, avoiding contact with sharp objects to prevent the film from being scratched or damaged.

5.Protective measures

(1)Dust protection: During storage, a dust cover can be used to cover the film roll to prevent dust and foreign objects from adhering.

(2)Regular inspection: Regularly inspect the stored PE stretch film to ensure that there is no damage, aging, or mold.
