Proper storage and maintenance of PE (Polyethylene) wrapping film are essential to extend its service life and ensure its effectiveness in packaging. Here’s how to store and maintain PE wrapping film properly:

1. Store in a Cool, Dry Place

Temperature Control: PE film should be stored at a temperature between 10°C to 30°C (50°F to 86°F). Extreme heat or cold can affect the flexibility and strength of the film. High temperatures can cause the film to become brittle, while low temperatures may make it less stretchable.

Avoid Direct Sunlight: Exposure to UV light from the sun can degrade the polymer, making the film more susceptible to tearing and reducing its strength. Store the film in a dark place or use opaque packaging if storing in transparent rolls.

Humidity: Keep the storage area dry. High humidity or moisture can make the PE film sticky, or it may cause the film to become weaker and less effective in use.

2. Keep Away from Chemicals and Solvents

Store PE wrapping film away from chemicals, oils, solvents, and other substances that can degrade the material. Even small traces of chemicals can cause the film to lose its protective properties or cause it to become deformed.
